These small poppies are a rather delicate type, they come in a variety of colours but often get taken apart by strong breezes, so I had to take quite a few photos....just in case. Setting them against a dark background with just a suggestion of their leaves allowed their tiny features to come forward. The centres and stamens were painted with a very small brush.

Oils on canvas-board, 6x6 inches (15 x 15cm). Unframed.
Delicate white poppies contrasted with a dark background and leaves.
The work will be wrapped in protective paper and card prior to final packing and dispatch.
