Today's Story - Let me tell you about a man a Pioneer of Opal Tully Cornwaith Wallaston who travelled to Queensland in 1889 and became a driving force in the Australian Opal industry, he traded & marketed Boulder Opals in London in 1890 & white cliffs .the Opals are recorded as been discovered by George Hooley & Alf Richardson in 1889 at Momba Station. The Testimony giving by Tully Wollaston to the Royal commission in 1901 records this.
These pioneers worked tiressley, inspired others & contributed to the Opal industries growth. Their legacy lives on in the captivating Opals we admire today
