Handmade hanging decoration of a leaping moon gazing hare over a landscape with full moon.
Night sky with gold stars, using air dry clay and gold paint, some dotted and some larger stars.
The plaque is wood and I have hand sculpted from air dry clay a landscape, moon and hare and also added gold clay stars.
It is all hand painted and embellished with markings, stamps and given a rubbed gold finish with gold leaf wax.
The aim was to produce something that gives a feeling of something ancient, meaningful and magical.
The back of the hanging plaque is painted dark blue
The white hare has been brushed with gold leaf wax and represents the white goddess, earth mother. the spring goddess Eostre (Easter) turns into a white hare at full moon.
Symbolising love, fertility, growth, new life.
