The undyed natural Seasalt yarn has a subtle slub effect and is an easy yarn to work with for dyeing and knitting. I am a beekeeper and love all things honey & bee related and the old fashioned woven skeps used by beekeeping monks of old have always looked so beautiful even if we don't actually use them anymore and is the perfect teapot shape.
Once the dandelions started popping up all over the place, I was off out with my basket to pick some, because I had the perfect project for a few handfuls. And this was the result.

Full description
THE FLEURY COSY
Tea cosy / cosie - jacket style.
Hand knitted and dyed using the yellow petals and green sepals from dandelion heads. The honey bee skep design is achieved using the rustic off-yellow dye, and a slub Seasalt yarn from Blue Faced Leicester wool to represent an aged straw woven honey bee skep. There are little bees buzzing about, interested in the flowers that grow up and over their home.
The jacket style cosy fits close to the tea pot with handle and spout available for use, so you don't have to take the jacket off to pour your tea.
This jacket is modelled on a Mason-Cash style traditional 4-6 cup tea pot
Designed by June in Lincolnshire
