Full description
This stained glass panel features a painted bee central insert, created using specialist glass enamels painted onto a clear, textured piece of glass, and kiln-fired to make the enamel permanent. The panel was then constructed using traditional leaded stained glass techniques, which have changed very little over the centuries. The bee is set in a surround of very cheerful yellow transparent art glass, and the lead frame was cut to size, soldered, and then cemented, black-leaded and finally polished.
The panel measures 21cm square approx. It looks lovely displayed on a windowsill, or somewhere the light can catch it.
Note: The lead frame is perfectly safe to handle, as long as it is not ingested, but please wash hands after handling.
