The inspiration was some tatty balls of sari knitting yarn The fray on them really made me think of old bandages. They made me think of old Mummy movies.
I love making my rag dolls and I love buying from charity shops for the materials to make them.
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.

Full description
Pharaoh Tutan-Barry,
AKA King Tatt
I bet you didn’t know that Barry Island had its own Mummy. King Tatt took a wrong turn at Cairo and ended up in South Wales.
He is one of my rag dolls, so is made of cloth & has buttons for eyes. His inspiration has come from old mummy movies and some splendid balls of sari (acrylic) knitting yarn! Their ability to look old, tatty and frayed leant themselves to my Pharaoh.
He is 49 cm tall and comes with his own stand. The lower part of the stand is made from resin and some sand from Barry Island’s beach.
All my creatures are ornaments and are not toys, they will not survive a child playing with them.
They are mainly made of recycled mixed fabrics & other materials, so are not washable.
My art dolls are a type of rag doll, so usually have knitting yarn for hair & buttons for eyes.
Thank you so much for looking.
