I began this painting with expressive charcoal marks, moving quickly and instinctively. I mixed the paints and got started, I had a rough idea of how I wanted to start the brush marks but then it moves beyond that and it takes on its own energy. When I find myself ‘out of the zone’ I stop. (Because this is when you can overwork, I’ve had to learn this.) I was honestly blown away by the finished result, the brush marks, the colour, the energy, it’s come together exactly as it was supposed to and it will never happen again exactly the same.

Spirited is an original one-off acrylic painting on canvas by Cambridgeshire Artist, Rachel James, Spirited is 61cm x 46cm x 3.5cm.
The colours are hand mixed by the artist, the canvas is UK made.
The painting is professionally finished with gloss varnish which can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
It is unframed, ready-to-hang on your wall.
Delivery is via ParcelForce Express48 service (UK) or ParcelForce International.
Local customers are welcome to arrange collection, please add a note on your order and I will refund the postage.
