I LOVE this leather! It’s so soft and the deep Bordeaux red is so beautiful, I just had to match it with my favourite bag pattern to make - ‘The Paulette’ by Shamballa Bags.
Using rescued leather that would otherwise end up in a landfill to make all the bags in my folksy shop is a decision I am proud of. It allows me to create sustainable and eco-friendly products while giving new life to discarded materials. Each bag tells a unique, unknown story and showcases the beauty and character of this upcycled material.
I believe that by repurposing leather in this way, I am not only reducing waste but also making a positive impact on the environment. These bags are not just stylish and elegant, but they also serve as a reminder of the importance of conscious consumerism. Through my choice to use rescued leather, I hope to inspire others to consider sustainable options and contribute to a more responsible and ethical fashion industry.

The leather used in all the bags in my Folksy shop, is sourced from a factory that specialises in high-quality leathers used in the manufacturing of high-end furniture. The pieces used in our bags are actually offcuts that were destined for landfill. This means that the leather is considered "Upcycled" and may have some unique characteristics. As an organic material, the leather may have creases, variations in color, flaws, blemishes, as well as variations in thickness and texture. These characteristics should not be seen as defects or faults, but rather as part of the charm and story of the bag. Please note that due to the nature of the upcycled leather, we are unable to accept returns or provide refunds based on these natural variations. We believe that these unique qualities add to the individuality and beauty of each bag.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
