A very special, one-of-a-kind crossbody bag that showcases six different designs of Harris Tweed® cloth in a gorgeous medley of purples, turquoises and soft pink, with a smidgen of black and teal. All the tweeds were handwoven by various different weavers on the Isle of Lewis and the bag bears the official 'Orb Mark' label which guarantees the authenticity of this heritage cloth.
I've used a coordinating turquoise cotton print for the lining and incorporated a zipped pocket, two slip pockets, a pen holder and a key hook. The main compartment is very roomy and will take an A5 notebook with plenty room to spare.
The flap fastens with two magnetic closures and is finished with a beautiful English walnut button, handmade by my late father.
The bag has a long, crossbody strap lined with pale lilac millinery Petersham and sits just below the waist when worn.
The bag is interfaced for shape and structure, and the base of the bag is reinforced with a piece of plastic mesh concealed between the outer and the lining.
