I have always loved ceramics and have spent many years collecting beautiful and sometimes broken pieces of china that I have found in antique shops and flea markets. I often use these found treasures in my photography and occasionally in my mixed media art work. Making jewellery seemed a natural progression and a wonderful way to display and preserve these beautiful patterns and colours.

Full description
A beautiful hand crafted pendant made from a vintage china plate, in an antiqued silver metal mount. The pendant measures approximately 4cm tall including the bail, 3cm wide and 0.5cm deep.
It comes on a black waxed cord which is approximately 44cm long and has a 4cm extension chain (total length 48cm). I am happy to change this to a 57cm cord with a 5cm extension chain (total length 62cm) if you prefer. Please let me know when you place your order.
The pendant has been crafted from broken, chipped or crazed china that is no longer fit for purpose - no 'perfect' plates were harmed in the making of my jewellery! This piece is from a very striking black and white paisley design plate. Each pendant is a unique statement piece and has its own little characteristics from the vintage china it's been taken from. It makes a very unusual and stylish gift.
The pendant will be carefully packaged in a sturdy, hand decorated box and will be posted Royal Mail Tracked 48 hrs.
The listing is for the pendant and cord only, and you will receive the actual one shown in the photo. I have photographed it next to a 50p piece to give an idea of scale and I have also shown an example of the box it will be packaged in.
