When i create an item it has to speak to me, rarely do i go to my lathe with a plan. Often the finished item really depends on a multitude of conditions weather, mood even the music playing will effect what im creating. With this piece it was the sun that was shining at the time birds are singing and the first signs of colour were in the garden . Winter is comming to an end signified by the dark but colourful rear of the bowl and the bright start to spring is starting to show hence the bright golden huw of the inside of the bowl and emerging colour of purple found on the rim of the bowl.
