Beautiful Silk Scarf, made from a high quality 6mm Mulbery silk.
This blush pink shawl in naturally dyed at our Dorset Studio using an extract from avocado skins to obtain the incredible soft pink shades.
We work from the south coast of England, where we grow harvest and gather broad variety of plants which we prepare following traditional methods to prepare the powerful botanical dyes.
It is 100% natural and free of chemicals that are used in the mass produced textile industry, making it safe for the environment and for your skin.
As opposite to chemically dyed factory produced flat colours , plant dyed colours are alive with their unique vibration, therefore some colour variations can be a common feature of hand dyed pieces.
These are considered valuable characteristics and are valued marks of handmade cloth.
As with all hand dyed fabric there will be slightly different tones in each unique piece.
To take care:
Hand wash in cool water using mild detergent and dry naturally. You can iron on a silk setting.
