Machine stitched and hand sewn from a delicious stash of vintage textiles, velvets laces, trimmings and finery.

A fabulously unique textile doll, which doubles as a very handy-dandy pincushion for all you ardent Sewists out there and a reminder of brave women who changed the course of history for the better.

Emmeline is radical feminist doll, or was in her day, She has no truck with intolerance, inequality and prejudice. She is a particularly fond of protest, usually the peaceful kind but not always. On her beautifully formed derriere she bares her famous quote 'I would rather be a rebel than a slave.' Her coat is made from upcycled velvets and her blouse from vintage laces, her little ribbon sash bears the suffragette colours of purple, white and green, standing for loyalty, purity and hope.

There are few things you need to know about Emmeline before you take her home, please spot clean her only, her fair complexion likes to be kept out of the sun. She is filled with fire retardant stuffing and rice to hold her nice and steady. She will look simply amazing on your desk, shelf, cabinet (or wherever you choose yo display her) radiating fortitude, bravery and resilience.
Emmeline is definitely not a toy and should not be treated as such or she will become quite aggrieved and possibly cause a riot.
