Full description

A handsome fox sculpted from woollen fibres using a needle felting technique. He has bee made using Corriedale woollen fibres and a barbed felting needle. The basic shape is formed using a core of white wool fibres which is then covered ('painted') with fox red fibres with darker fibres used for the legs and to add highlights to the tail and back.

The legs of the fox have been made over a wire base to provide strength and stability. The fox has been given a bushy tail and his whiskers are made from horse hair.

The fox has been mounted on an oval base which has been covered in artificial grass. A wooden dowel has been inserted to assist with mounting.

The fox measures approximately 24cm long x 14cm tall. The mount is 15cm x 9cm.

Please note: this fox is intended as a collectable or ornament. It is not suitable as a toy for children due to small parts and possible loose fibres.
