I love putting together bouquets of dried flowers but I wanted to find new ways of displaying them whilst still keeping the focus on their natural beauty.
Last year I made a portrait painting with the hairdo comprising of pressed flowers. I really wanted to create something similar utilising the full 3D texture of dried flowers. This format has allowed me to do that and I am so pleased with the result!

Beautiful, nature inspired dried flower wall art.
This unique wall hanging comprises a hand embroidered woman's face side profile, with a hairdo full of dried flowers carefully woven and stitched onto white tulle, mounted between two twisted willow hoops. She is smelling a yellow strawflower. The flowers have been organically grown in peat free compost, picked and dried right here from our wildlife friendly garden in the Fens. The willow is also from our garden.
Flowers used: dahlia, daisy, lavender, tithonia, achillea, strawflower.
Naturally beautiful, this is a unique piece to compliment any indoor living space.
Measures approx. 15 inches in diameter.
