Full description
This knitting pattern was created by me and is reminiscent of the bygone age of taking afternoon tea. It is simple to knit using double knit yarn and 4mm needles. If you order this pattern it will be sent to you by email as an attachment. This is the pattern only, not the finished article.
The first documented tea cosy dates from 1867, although they probably existed before then. When, in 1840, Anna Maria, the 7th Duchess of Bedford, made taking afternoon tea fashionable - nothing better than afternoon tea and cake!
