How much I love the dreams...
Handmade stitched tiny miniature book made from recycled art and printmaking paper and hand painted and decorated with lettering cut from recycled books. Words are invented by me and read, "here is my painted soul".
My unexplored earth series of artworks are inspired by the stories I tell myself when I walk in the forest near my home. I created these unusual, quirky soul painting books because I wanted to use them for my stories, words and sketches. I make these books from paper torn out of my sketchbook and the edges of my fine art drawing and printmaking paper. Each book is unique in appearance and character and is designed to softly wear around the edges with use, so that it continues to evolve and has its own life story, continuing the creation of art.
