African zebra model hand made from papier-mache and acrylic paint. Coat colour made from recycled book pages and acrylic paint. Black and copper details painted in acrylic paint.

Looking for unique gifts? I created my little paper animals, hand made from recycled books, to decorate my home and bookshelves. They are intended to be three-dimensional "drawings" - I don't use any pattern or wire structure beneath the papier-mâché. Each one is therefore unique and has its own character. This little paper zebra with hand-painted stripes and expression is exactly the decoration I would love to have on my Christmas mantel or in my home all year round. Ideal size for mantel or shelf decor.
My animals are completely solid once all the layers of glue and paint are dry - they are light, not heavy to hold. They are robust and do not break if dropped.
I use artists quality acrylic paint on my models so they are colour fade resistant and water resistant, but please protect them from moisture and extremes of heat temperature. They are not weatherproof and are intended for indoor use only. If they collect a little dust, a dry paintbrush can be used to clean them.
My artwork animals are not toys and are therefore not intended for children
