Each season in 2024, I'm making an extra special, limited edition heart.
The Spring Heart celebrates the the coming of warmer, sunshine-filled days, new life and feelings of hope and happiness.
In cheerful yellow and white polka dot cotton and with a wide ribbon band of dancing daffodils, each heart is generously filled with either fragrant Hampshire lavender or with hypoallergenic wool toy stuffing, and is hand finished with yellow hemp twine hanging ties and a round wooden button bearing the legend 'Handmade with love'.
Tie onto kitchen dresser hooks, coat pegs, window latches, bedposts and doorknobs. Nestle in clothes drawers and wardrobes (lavender is reputed to deter moths). Baskets and jugs, picture frame corners ... just a few places in which to add a decorative Spring Heart ...
