Welcome to my shop. I hope you enjoy having a browse.

I love working with textiles, making small and large items. I have recently added some new lines, practical aprons and floral brooches.

If you live in the Reading area you can come and see me at the Artists and Makers Fairs in Caversham
https://www.artistsandmakersfairs.co.uk

I am always happy to consider commissions and can personalise items. Just drop me an email pamccrafts@gmail.com.

You can follow me on FB and Instagram as well @pamccrafts.

All the items are hand sewn by me. I am increasingly thinking about sustainability with my work and am including more repurposed projects, and trying to use organic and natural fibres and fabrics.

I donate 10% of my sales to Launchpad, a charity working to prevent homelessness in Reading

IF YOU ARE ABLE TO COLLECT FROM ME IN RG4 I WILL REFUND POSTAGE

I love working with these beautiful Fairtrade silks. And we all need more peace in the world

Full description

The dove is a symbol of hope and peace. Each one is unique. They are made by applying small pieces of fairly traded sari silk on to hessian. I then hand stich and machine stitch to build up the layers; I add more hand than machine stitching these days, it is so restful to do and creates a lovely effect.

They are backed with a batik fabric over a layer of recycled polyester wadding.

Not only does the production of silk fabric support women in India, and the small company Yarn Yarn that visits their community and imports these yarns: 10% from each sold will go to Launchpad, a charity working to prevent homelessness in Reading. So, many people will benefit from your purchase
