A very warm welcome to my collection of original artwork.
If you are buying artwork as a gift, I can gift wrap the painting and send it on to the recipient. Just send me the details at checkout. Prior to posting, framed paintings will be covered with glassine paper before being carefully encased in a protective wrap. Wherever possible, I reuse internal wrapping materials I have collected. The painting will then be secured in a heavy duty mailing box. For unframed artworks, the paintings will be mailed in a reinforced, hard backed envelope.
(63) This impasto acrylic painting is based on visits to west coast Scottish beaches on a sun-kissed days. I've called this original painting, 'At A Loose End' because visiting the coast is a perfect way to spend time. This would make an ideal gift for any occasion.

Full description
This acrylic painting of a beach in Scotland, is ready to hang. I've applied thick layers of paint using various sized brushes and palette knives to create a tactile texture on the surface of the canvas. The clear blue sky stretches over the coast, and the sea is tranquil, reflecting the blue and pink hues in the sky. The hills in the distance catch the sunlight, and the foreground is filled with craggy rocks that contrast with the soft golden sands.

- This is an original, one-off, acrylic painting on a sealed cradled canvas.
- The sides of the canvas have been painted, so no frame is required.
- The artwork is ready to be hung or can be free standing.
