I had a large amount of commercially spun Shetland yarn, spun in Cornwall at a mill that takes small amounts of fleece and spins it for you, so I got back cream, grey, brown and black from my own four Shetland sheep. But the yarn was a heavy Aran weight, and I didn't want to knit a lot of heavy sweaters, so I thought of using it up in warm soft blankets. I've now used up all my stash of Shetland yarn.
