Hi, I'm Richard, a Lincolnshire based artist who originates from South Wales.
The themes of my art have always been varied but as "Dr Geek Art" my passion for comic books, sci-fi and all those amazing things that we all can "geek out" at, can take centre stage!!
My collage pieces all start life as a drawing, the drawing is then cut into and becomes a stencil, where I begin to layer and experiment with all manner of papers and materials, such as old magazines, gift wrap, old flyers and even unwanted wall paper. So you could say my collages are a form of recycling! I like to put all sorts of hidden images and text within the collages, sometimes connected with the topic, sometimes not, so when you look you might discover something new and exciting!
