As a woodworker I find it awful throwing perfectly good pieces of timber into the furnace, I much prefer to find a use for as many of my offcuts as possible. Each piece of wood, however small, can become so much more than just 'waste' through a bit of time and effort with a knife. Whilst designs may be similar, each piece is unique and individually crafted at my home in rural Oxfordshire entirely by hand.

Full description

A butter knife hand carved in Oxfordshire from English beech wood.

This knife is approximately 15cm long and is finished with a food safe wax-oil.

Inspired by the traditional wooden butter knives used in Swedish homes.

To get the best life out of this knife, do not immerse in water or put in a dishwasher. Simply rinse and wipe clean. Over time, it may benefit from occasionally being wiped with a small amount of food grade linseed oil, walnut oil, or similar to replenish the wood.
