I remember some time ago someone asking if I made a Yin Yang design and my response was no as I didn't then. I do now.

Full description

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.

Yin and Yang, a symbol of perfect harmony and balance.

One half is made from 5 types of bright purple glass and the other from 5 types of clear iridescent glass mostly with a purple tinge. Although the beauty of this symbol is in its simplicity I've used artistic licence and added movement with different textures and shades.

I've added a purple nugget (which is decorated with dichroic glass and handmade in my kiln) to the clear side and a faceted crystal to the purple half which I think are very effective.

The circle is framed for strength and neatness with twisted wire.

This is 13cms in diameter and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached to the top of the suncatcher.

I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure they are unique. I can make this in other colours, please ask.
