Full description
A 'wave' or S shaped curved piece of fused glass - with a textured representation of silver birches in autumn.
The background trees are added with glass powder, covered with clear glass and then fired in the kiln to help create the illusion of depth. The grass and foreground trees are then added along with the foliage and these are taken to a slightly lower temperature in the kiln so they have texture but are smooth to the touch.
Out of the kiln, quality check and then back in to create the curve shape - this piece stands firmly on its own, As it is multiple layers of glass, it is heavier than it may look but has been annealed in the kiln to make it as sturdy as possible whilst still being glass.
