My gran used to make rug mats from old clothing. They were colourful and made good use of scrap material.
I decided to make a plate in the same sort of multi-coloured mosaic.
Please note that the edible goodies on the plate are not part of the sale - they are my pudding this evening!

If you want somewhere unique and unusual to place your fruit, sweeties or trinkets, this might just be the thing for you.
The plate is approximately 23 cm in diameter and 2 cm deep. It is made of hand-cut pieces of glass in multiple colours. The pieces have been placed together on a clear glass base in a mosaic design before the gaps between the pieces have been 'grouted' with powdered glass. A first session in the kiln fuses the glass flat after which the piece is slumped over ceramic mould.
It has 4 LRF (little rubber feet) on the bottom to make it stable and protect your furniture.
There will never be another like this - a real One-Off piece.
This dish is food safe, but please don't put it in the dishwasher.
Please note that as this piece is deigned to be slightly uneven, the measurements provided are approximate.
