Astrantia grows in the summer, in clusters of pink and white. It is symbolic of strength and courage, making it an lovely gift for someone who is going, or has been through a difficult time, or you admire for their bravery and resilience.
I have grown these flowers in my garden in Cheshire, and preserved them using the traditional method of flower pressing.
It is mounted on white handmade paper, annotated with the name of the plant and its meaning.
If delivered 'ready to frame' it is presented in a cellulose vellum envelope ready for you to frame yourself. I recommend using a spacer or mount to avoid crushing the flower.
If you select the framed option, it will be framed in a solid oak, UK made, frame, for an extra cost of £25 (total cost £50).
Also available in A5 size.
I always recommend hanging pressed flowers away from direct sunlight to prevent them fading, though their colours will change slowly, over time.
