Full description
This handbag started when I brought a new pair of stripy socks and then found a fabulous printed cotton fabric.
I love working with corduroy and ribbon, and these are the main elements of this handbag.
The front is a black corduroy overlaid with a off white ribbed ribbon to create dramatic stripes, on this I have added felt flowers.
The back is also a black corduroy, but this time the stripes go in the other directions and have been overlaid with plain and spotty ribbons with match the colours of the flowers.
Both panels have been piped in a fine pink corduroy, the sides are also a black corduroy which have black leather strips attaching by rectangle metal rings the adjustable corduroy and ribbon shoulder strap.
The bag fastens with a black zip, which when opened reveals a quilted patterned cotton lining, this time I have made the inside pocket entirely from felt to complement the feel of the bag. This has inlayed spots and makers label.
