Full description
Cornflower blue seaglass has the same long history as cobalt blue but by the mid 1800's Cornflower Blue glass was mainly used to make medicine bottles and jars and some decorative art pieces. The delicate colour was produced by using less cobalt oxide and because it wasn't as widely produced as its sister colour cobalt blue it's much more difficult to find.
This piece was found along the North East coast and has been naturally tumbled by the sea, we do not tumble or reshape the glass. This is why seaglass tends to have imperfections or 'C' marks which occurs from being dashed against the shore.
The holes were bored using specialist equipment.
We use only solid sterling silver findings and the pendant comes complete with an 18 inch sterling silver fine trace chain.
