Full description
This woollen sculpture of a fox in a crouching pose has been needle felted using Corriedale woollen fibres and a barbed felting needle. A core of white wool has been shaped and then covered ('painted') with fox red fibres with darker fibres used for the legs and to add highlights to the tail, ears and back.
The legs of the fox have been formed over a wire base to assist in posing the fox and to provide strength and stability to the legs. The fox has been given a bushy tail and his whiskers are made from horse hair.
The fox has been mounted on a rectangular base which has been covered in artificial grass. A small perspex rod has been used to hold the fox securely on the base.
The fox measures approximately 28cm long (nose to tail) x 11cm tall. The mount is 15cm x 10cm.
Please note: this fox is intended as a collectable or ornament. It is not suitable as a toy for children due to small parts and possible loose fibres.
