This stencil was inspired by the native Swallow tail butterfly or my home land on the Norfolk Broads. Where i spent most of my child hood mucking about on the water and seeing these beautiful little creatures. The drawing for this was one of the trickiest I've done, she just didn't like being a stencil, but i'm pleased I persisted.

British Swallowtail Butterfly tea towel, each Butterfly individually printed for that special one off look.
This tea towel is made from 100% cotton mix, bleached white, 5.5oz185gsm cloth. The lovely nature of the cotton fibres gives this 48x75 cm tea towel the smooth surface for all your drying needs.

Here at fromlottiesloft I use personal and inspiring images to make stencils that can be used to hand print on to fabric. The stencil has to be carefully designed by hand drawing the required sections. I then mix the paint to the required colour and make it suitable for the fabric. Using various methods including sponging, painting and rolling (depending on the required effect) I apply the paint onto the fabric through the stencil. Once dried and cured the fabric can be used and washed as normal.
Please note that every print is different and smugs do happen! this shows it was hand made so please embrace the uniqueness x
