Handmade by The Secret Charm
These pagan prayer beads are 24.5" (61cm) long and have been handmade with garnet gemstones, picasso jasper gemstones, raw ruby chunks, green peridot, gold plated crystals, copper beads, art beads, wooden beads, artisan ceramics and artisan lampwork glass.
Ogham Ivy and holly have been chosen for protection. A hand-painted polymer clay ivy leaf (20x18mm) adorns one end of the prayer beads whilst a pewter holly leaf adorns the other.
The strong feminine energies of this piece are amplified by the inclusion of handmade lampwork glass and ceramics by female artisans. There are some truly beautiful pieces of work included in this strand.
The symbols of the Ogham ivy and holly are often paired together ritually and magically.
In ancient folklore Ogham ivy was considered a feminine symbol, and it was thought that adding it together with Holly (a masculine symbol) at Yule time would bring peace in a home between a husband and wife for the following year.
Women also carried ivy to ensure fidelity, aid fertility and for general good luck. Wherever ivy is grown or proliferates, guards against negativity and disaster.
Picasso Jasper has been chosen as the supreme nurturer, sustaining and supporting during times of stress and bringing tranquillity and wholeness.
Garnet has been chosen as a powerfully energizing and regenerating stone.
