This one of a kind miniature diorama features a little sailing boat and lighthouse with wooden waves under billowing clouds. Like many of my dioramas, it is inspired by my love of the coast and tales of the sea. Each picture I make is completely unique.
The design comes from original drawings which have been transformed into layers of laser cut wood, which I have then painted by hand and built up to form 3d layers and set into a white glazed wooden box frame, which measures approx 11.5cm; the scene itself measures approx 7.5cm x 7.5cm.
NB: the last image is for size comparison only. For photography purposes, this piece is pictured without its glass.
