I love the 1960's (as you can probably tell), and each bag that I design and make for my small business is inspired and dedicated to strong female icons of the period.
This year I wanted to brighten up my tree with something unique - something handmade that could use up the various trims and scraps of fabric I have laying around the studio. Hey presto, these decorations were formed! So I thought: why not add them to my Folksy store? I hope you like them - Barbarella is a right little fire cracker.

Looking for Santa to hurry down your chimney? Well these four awfully good girls will light up any tree!
They are the perfect retro Christmas decorations, perfect for the tree, that can be cherished and reused for many special Christmases to come.
Each box contains:
- The Angel Twiggy: London's very own Angel of Neasden is hand embellished with gold sequins and an elaborate trim. Watch her glitter-card wings twinkle under the fairy lights (size: 13cm x 10cm at the widest points - not including the ribbon loop)
- Eartha Kitt-mas: purr into Christmas with the ultimate cat-woman accessory: hand-painted with red glitter paint for that extra special finish (size: 8cm x 11cm at the widest points - not including the ribbon loop)
- Holly Golightly - chic and sophisticated as ever, our Audrey has taken on her name sake with a cheeky holly hair accessory, red glitter painted lips and a cheeky red pom-pom embellishment (size: 8cm x 11cm at the widest points - not including the ribbon loop)
- Barbarella - who wouldn't want to pull her cracker? With hand stitched lurex ribbon adding a bit of sparkle, she's ready to shake up any Christmas (size: 13cm x 10cm at the widest points - not including the ribbon loop)
Each decoration has been hand designed and created by me, with each unique take on the icons printed onto cotton calico. They are then decorated by hand, machine sewn and stuffed with flame retardant stuffing.
