Full description
This grass kelp, or gutweed, is from Llandudno's West Shore Beach. I collect seaweed that has washed up on the beach, rather than harvesting it whilst it is growing, and have preserved this seaweed by pressing, in a similar way to how flowers are pressed.
It is mounted on white handmade paper, annotated with the name of the seaweed and the location it has originated from.
If delivered 'ready to frame' it is presented in a cellulose vellum envelope ready for you to frame yourself. I recommend using a spacer or mount.
If you select the framed option, it will be framed in a solid oak, UK made, frame with UV resistant glazing, for an extra cost of £20 (total cost £40).
I always recommend hanging pressed seaweed away from direct sunlight to prevent them fading, though their colours will change slowly, over time.
