Full description
This charming little hand made sycamore wood wall clock is crafted to display the attractive dark features in the grain towards the lower part of the clock. I turned the wood to form a shallow bowl with a wide rim, then fitted the numerals around that. I made the numerals by hand from some oak veneer I cut from a larger piece of timber, then trimmed to size with a craft knife. The four cardinal points are marked with wider strips of veneer than the intermediate points, and the hands are black painted metal. The clock has an incredibly quiet quartz movement that uses one AA battery (not supplied). There is a wall hanger built in to the top of the movement, so all you need to do is find a nice place in your home for it to live. The clock is 170mm diameter, and 45mm deep.
