For 150 years, the pier on Worthing seafront has stood against the lashing waves and baking heat, stretching out into the water providing promenading, steamer ship docks, a picture house and other assorted amusements.
Having been destroyed by fire in the 1930s, the Victorian pier was rebuilt in a Streamline Moderne style of Art Deco, becoming the iconic building we can see today. As with many piers across the country, it is a fabulous jewel in the crown of Worthing's shimmering town.
