The size of the Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank Observatory is something you have to see in person to fully appreciate. Telling you it is enormous doesn't do any justice to the sheer scale of it. And yet is. Simply huge.
Looking up through the mass of metal it is difficult to think of how it was conceived in the first instance, let alone built, almost 70 years ago in 1957. But it remains at the forefront of scientific exploration even now, though it is no longer the largest telescope in the world. Its international importance is such that not only is it a tightly controlled Grade I listed building in the UK, but UNESCO have designated it a World Heritage Site.

Jodrell Bank Observatory, Cheshire UK Wall Art Print / Travel Poster by Silver and Paper Prints
This print depicts the incredible Lovell Mark 1 Telescope at the Jodrell Bank Observatory in Cheshire. Using a striking colour palette, the print evokes the rich and atmospheric travel posters of the early to mid 20th century, and is a wonderful addition to any room.
Print sizes (w x h) - all prints are sold unframed:
A4 - 210 x 297mm / 8.3" x 11.7"
A3 - 297 x 420mm / 11.7" x 16.5"
A2 - 420 x 594mm / 16.5" x 23.4"
Printing:
A4 & A3 posters are printed full bleed on matt white 250gsm paper, A2 posters use a thick paper stock with a satin finish. All posters are professionally printed and cut.
Delivery:
A4 posters are packaged in flat card-backed envelopes, A3 and A2 posters are rolled in cardboard postal tubes. All packaging is reusable, and is recyclable at the end of its life as much as is possible; all posters are sent with Royal Mail.
