I had been asked if make a witch flying on a broomstick. I said no as i didn't then but I do now.
I was so pleased when I finished the first and I hung it in the window to check it - I found that I was smiling - that is exactly what I like people to do when they see my suncatchers
I hope it makes you smile too.

A stained glass suncatcher made entirely by hand using the Tiffany Copper Foil technique.
I've dressed this witch in red as it's her favourite colour. The pointy hat is decorated with a silver star and the hair is made from curls of wire which flow out behind..
I've christened this witch Elspeth but I've no idea if she likes the name as she never responds when I call her. All she does is point at me rudely as she goes past.
The witch is riding the skies on her broomstick which is made from twisted wire. Her cat rides behind.
They were rather cross after being attacked by a hot soldering iron. Hopefully the chill night air will cool their tempers.
This suncatcher hangs from a silvery chain securely attached by solder to the top.
It is 11cm in diameter and the witch looks pretty magical when she flies across the window in search of ingredients for her spells.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure they are unique.
The last photos show the 5 witches I currently have listed. All different colours. You can find them all by clicking on the tag for
