I have started an art flower journal, in which I wanted to embroider using watercolours to create a soft background.
Inspired by the tv series - The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart - a touching story about a secret refuge for women who have experienced domestic abuse. Working on a flower farm the women create a dictionary of flowers, each flower nominated as a word to create a secret language to keep them safe. Embroidery also plays a huge part within the story. After binge watching the series in one weekend I felt absolutely compelled to start my own floral dictionary. This pansy being the first entry.
