The idea behind this pattern was to really show off some different blackwork patterns but not in a conventional sampler of squares of the patterns. Instead I have used the different samples of blackwork together to form the owl shape. The owl itself is geometric in design to complement the geometrics of the blackwork patterns.
It creates a modern twist on a blackwork sampler - and looks nice hung on the wall!
