I love the shape and sparkle if these hand cut crystal drops, set off beautifully by the purple Amethyst and gold vermeil beads.

Amethyst is the birthstone for Aquarius and February and the stone for the 6th and 17th wedding anniversaries.
Amethyst is also associated with St Valentine.
St Valentine was a Christian priest during the rule of Emperor Claudius II.
The Emperor had forbidden soldiers to marry, as he believed they made better soldiers if unwed.
St Valentine would perform marriages in secret.
The soldiers could recognise him by the amethyst ring, carved with a cupid, that he wore.
He was executed on February 14th 269 and canonised in 496.

Full description
Each of these pretty earrings features a sparkly, 10mm, handmade, faceted crystal drop in a dusky amethyst colour, topped with a trio of 4mm purple Amethyst beads.
The beads are separated by 2mm gold vermeil rounds, threaded onto gold vermeil headpins and hung from gold vermeil ear-wires.
Gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with 18k gold, and the wires are stamped '925'.
These earrings measure approximately 1.25 inches (3cm), excluding the wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
