I love Highland cows. Lucky for me my brother owns a farm and breeds them. He doesn't sell for the market but purely for breeding. I suppose you could say that his cows are collectable! :)

Full description
Unique and original: Handmade Fused Glass Highland Cow Picture.
Gallery price: £65.00, from the Maker: £52.00.
This picture started off as a sheet of transparent fusing glass. The cow was then painted on using glassline powders. The colours were layered and then scraped through to bring out the individual colours and the texture of the cows hair.
The eyes are little squares of metalic dichroic glass and the nose and mouth wispy cream fusing glass. The reverse of the glass was coated in a film of black glassline to contrast with the vivid warm colours of the cow.
This little cow took two kiln firings to achieve the result I wanted: colourful, realistic, and textural.
Frame measures: 25.5cm x 25cm x 2.5cm.
Picture measures: 15.7cm x 15.7cm x 6mm.
Hook and stand on reverse to either hang on the wall or be displayed on a shelf.
Picture description and signature on revers of the picture. :)
Designed by Alison MacVicar in Stewarton, Ayrshire, Scotland, United Kingdom.
