Hand-made pure Belgian chocolate chess set, Staunton design, with 64 dark and white chocolate squares to make a board, plus we ve designed a little chocolate chess timing clock to complete the set .All entirely handmade in our small workshop.
We use white and dark 55% Belgian chocolate for this
These sets look very realistic and make stunning cake decorations and gifts.
Please allow 1-3 days for us to make these for you. All items are made-to-order we do not carry any stock.
These are some of the the most difficult items we make, as each piece is hand-moulded one at a time.
When set and finished the pieces are carefully packed in cellophane bags, labelled and layered between sheets of bubble wrap and a big box! We send via first class post for quick delivery. The squares are packed into small boxes with a few spares(just in case) as they are quite delicate.
Please note that we do not always send over weekends to avoid delivery delays.
The largest chess piece, the king, measures approximately 90mm tall and has a base diameter of approximately 38mm.
The squares are individual and are made as flat as possible, however, there may be some variation due to the hand-made nature of these.Each one is approximately 40mm square.If adding to a cake you will need at least a 320mm( 13") square cake, a round cake will need to be at least 460mm diameter (18") They can be stuck down with icing or chocolate or simply placed onto a cake or board.
