Keep out the chill in style in this lovely hat and fingerless gloves set!
I have crocheted this set in some yarn that I hand dyed with professional acid dyes in shades of blue with the odd pop of purple. The yarn is 75% wool, 25% polyamide and is a sock weight yarn so the hat and gloves are both lightweight but are hardwearing for everyday use and ready to give you many winters of warmth.
The beanie hat is slightly slouchy and measures approx 19 inches around the bottom but will easily stretch out to around 22" if needed. It is 9 inches high and the crown is made in a close knit tetxure with the body of the hat made in a lacier stitch and then a ribbed band at the bottom.
The fingerless gloves have a thumb hole at the side, ribbed cuffs to keep out the chill and the same lacy pattern over the body of the glove with a thin ribbed section at the top for a nice cosy fit.
These are not made with superwash wool so should be handwashed in luke warm water and then gently squeezed and laid flat to dry. Do not tumble dry or they will shrink but wool dries quite quickly so I usually ut mine on top of a warm radiator and then then warm when I put them back on!
