'Magic carpet' is from a mixed media series inspired by the time my cat was confined indoors for health reasons, with the blue sky beyond her reach.
The moody blue of the cyanotype works perfectly to convey the sense of longing I imagine comes from the loss of freedom, no matter how temporary.

Full description
This is a signed original cyanotype measuring roughly A4, on acid-free, 250gsm watercolour paper.
I illustrated the image on a sheet of transparency, and used it as a negative for the cyanotype process. The process involves coating a substrate with light-sensitive chemistry and exposing to the sun or an UV lamp. I intend to use the negative for variable works of mixed media art limited to 50 in number.
This print will fit in any standard off-the-shelf A3 frame. I suggest a white or metallic frame to go with the gorgeous blue. I will ship the work safely protected by acid-free backing and wrapped in acid-free tissue paper.
Since each version of this artwork is hand-printed, the piece you receive may be slightly different from the image on your screen.
