Knit a sleepy moon cushion in chunky yarn for a child’s room with our step-by-step pattern. Suitable for knitters who have mastered the basics (knit, purl, increasing and decreasing) this cushion looks lovely on a child’s bed.
Using any type of chunky yarn you like, the moon is knitted flat on straight knitting needles; there is no working in the round needed.
To make your moon you will need: Chunky white yarn (we used Hayfield Bonus Chunky in White) 4mm straight knitting needles, stuffing, felt, darning needle, sewing needle, cotton, grey DK yarn for eyes. Cushion measures 30cm across when completed.
