My designs are inspired by my love of the textiles work of the Sami of Northern Europe and the colourful and stylised images of the natural world in Persian manuscript paintings.

Full description
A punchy image in vibrant greens and shocking pink balanced with dark brick reds. Layers of felt, organza shot with gold, yellow chiffon and beautiful woven ribbons form the base onto which beaded stitched felt and wool-tops form the main shapes. A heat gun has been used to distort and melt the surface to increase the textures.The image is 15cm x 15cm and mounted within a white wood frame measuring 23cm x 23cm and 4.5cm deep. The frame is deep enough to stand comfortably without support or has a bracket on the back to hang if desired.
