Due to the amount of time and skill required to make them, they do appear expensive, but they are truly works of art.

I wanted to revive an old form with silk swatches I had amassed and hand painted over the years. So, I covered the form with floral themed swatches including one of a giant butterfly. A hand woven willow sphere formed the head. The arms were fashioned using old coat hangers. The idea of lighting then came to mind. Hello, I'm Flora Bunda. I used to be a worn-out mannequin, but now I'm a stunning and versatile piece of home decor that any decorator would love to have. Inspired by the Roman goddess of flowers and the Floribunda rose, my name could be no other.
My head is a woven willow sphere. I don't have a face, and my head is free moving allowing for different perspectives. Sometimes, I feel like I'm losing my head, but then I remember that it's removable.
My body, now my temple, has been covered with silk swatches; all the silk is authentic and painted by my maker. My arms are made from old driftwood coat hangers that have been reconstructed and tied together with flax plaits. Circular knitting needles join the arms, allowing them to be lifted on and off the top of my body. A piece of silk scrim creates an elegant scarf drape effect over my arms.
Now the choice is yours. Would you like to put a head on my shoulders? Would you like me to model a piece of your clothing? Would you like me to have arms? Do you want my arms to model a wrap? And lastly, you may want to use me as a lamp, and that's okay too Sorry, but due to safety, the metal plug-in flex lighting is not included.
I can be anywhere from 55 inches to 63 inches tall.
I will require re-assembly upon delivery.
Please note, that height poles are prone to marking due to constant adjustment. Although mine has been restored, it may become marked again.
